Immerse yourself

Imagine studying the French language not only in a university classroom, but in the corner cafe where you order coffee, the clubs where you dance with friends, the very streets you walk to school.

AUP鈥檚 carefully crafted French programs offer rigorous instruction in the French language鈥攔eviewing grammar and vocabulary, improving pronunciation鈥攚hile allowing a firsthand introduction to French culture both in and outside the classroom.

Study French life, language, and culture in Paris, the best language lab in the world, for credit or audit in June and July.

Immersion

Immersion

French Immersion courses take place from 9:00 a.m.听to 1:00 p.m Monday through Friday to prepare you for your globally connected future.

Experience

Experience

All classes are taught by experienced, native French teachers and include dynamic, innovative teaching methods using audio, video, and real-life situations.听

Students will be placed into听one of four classes听ranging from very introductory French for those with no experience,听to a high intermediate course for听those with a good familiarity of French looking to听express more complex ideas听and attitudes.听All French Immersion students will take an online placement test to determine which course to enroll in.

  • Daily coffee and croissant breaks offering opportunities for casual conversation听
  • 1 d茅gustation de bienvenue 鈥� Welcome wine-tasting
  • 1 lunch with one of your听professors
  • 2 Friday afternoon faculty-led tours of towns near Paris to places like Reuil-Malmaison and Saint-Germain-en-Laye, including dinner
Discover France Through Cultural Excursions

Further your understanding of French culture by participate in one of our featured听cultural excursions.听The Cultural Program Office offers trips outside of Paris through the Explore France Series, as well as听activities right here in the city through the听Discover Paris Series.
