Payment Policies

Once you have indicated your topÌýhousing options in your 91³Ô¹ÏÍøStatus page, our office will register youÌýfor oneÌýof your selections depending on availability. Once registered, you will receive confirmation of registration and an invoice by email. Payment deadlines are as follows:Ìý ÌýÌý

PAYMENT DUE DEADLINE
First payment (20% of the semester rent and non-refundable) June 14, 2024 by 5PM Paris time
Second payment (80% of the semester rent + 150€ housing fee) June 28, 2024 by 5PM Paris time
Third payment (security deposit) July 15, 2024 by 5PM Paris time

*If you sign up afterÌýour first deadline, your first (non-refundable) payment will be due within a week after Housing has confirmed your reservation.ÌýPlease keep in mind that the first payment cannot be covered by loans.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PAYMENT METHODS:

Students and families can complete their housing payments via wire transfer or via credit card payments. Payments made by credit card will be subject to a 2% fee which which may be levied through the third-party payment portal.

We recommend completing security deposit payment (third payment) via debit/credit card. This will allow for a speedier process in refunding the security deposit following the resident’s departure, as refunds to debit/credit cards have shorter delays than refunds through wire transfers – this can only be done if the original payment was done through a debit/credit card that is still valid at the time the refund is processed.

Using Loans for Housing Payments

Students who intend to pay for the bulk of their housing costs with student loans will still have to complete the first payment out of pocket by the first deadline, as it is a non-refundable payment securing the reservation before loans are disbursed. They can, however, have a deferred timeline for the remaining payments, as those can be covered when loans are disbursed at the start of the semester.

The Office of Financial Aid will need to certify students’ loan applications for them to receive a deferral of second and third housing payments. Please direct any questions about the loan process to your Admissions Counselor.ÌýPlease note that any student who has not completed their payments on time may lose theirÌýreservation andÌýmay be assigned to one of their other choices depending on availability.

Housing Payment Policies FAQ

Will the housing first payment be refunded if I cannot obtain a VISA to study in Paris?

The first housing payment (20% of your semester rent) is non-refundable. The second housing payment (80% of your semester rent) is refundable (see refund policy), and the security deposit is 100% refundable.

Can I use student loans to cover housing fees? If I am using student loans to cover all of my housing fees, what do I need to pay in advance?

Students using loans to pay for tuition and all housing fees must still pay the non-refundable first payment (20% of semester rent). You can use your loans to cover remaining housing payments, but in order to do this we must have confirmation from the Office of Financial Aid at 91³Ô¹ÏÍøthat your loans are complete and will cover tuition and living expenses. Contact your Admissions Counselor for help.

Will the housing deposit be refunded if I defer admissions to the subsequent semester?

The first housing payment (20% of your semester payment) is non-refundable; however, if students defer their admissions to the subsequent semester (Spring 2025), their first payment can be applied to their Spring 2025 reservation once they have secured that assignment. They will still need to undergo the assignment process as outlined above. Once they receive their assignment and payment information, they can contact the housing office to request that their previous forfeited first payment be applied to their Spring 2025 housing.ÌýHousing payments cannot be deferred to a different academic year.
